SECR 2017 is the premier software engineering conference in Russia. In 2017 the conference will take place in Saint-Petersburg.

The main conference dates are 20-21 of October (Friday and Saturday), and on 22nd of October (Sunday) the master-classes day will take place.

The conference targets top specialists of IT industry and science, visionaries. It is a multi-disciplinary event that allows participants to overview a wide range of software industry topics and trends, and deepen their understanding of the areas of interest, which may be adjacent to their core specialization.

The conference audience represents IT industry specialists from all areas: programmers, QA-specialists, computer science researchers and practitioners from industry and government.

In its past 13 years the conference was supported by EMC, First Line Software, JetBrains, SAP, SberTech, Deutsche Bank, Intel, Oracle, Google, IBM, Microsoft, EPAM, Luxoft, Russian Venture Company, IEEE, ACM, APKIT, RUSSOFT Associations, and other organizations.

This year keynotes are Andrey N. Terekhov, Head of Software Engineering Department in SPbSU and CEO of Lanit-Tercom and Ivar Jacobson, the father of UML, component architecture.

In the past years, keynote lectures were delivered by Jeff Sutherland, Bjarne Stroustrup, Dino Esposito and other distinguished experts.

The conference program will be composed of research presentations, experience reports, panel discussions, workshops, and express-presentations with discussions.
